Tetra was acquired by Triton Fund I in December 2002
Tetra is a world’s leading producer of home aquarium and pond products. Founded in Germany in 1951, the company’s products are sold in over 90 countries worldwide and it enjoys strong brand recognition. Tetra supplies a complete range of products for fish ownership, including food, water and plant conditioners, technical equipment and medicinal products. Triton acquired Tetra from Pfizer, an American global pharmaceutical corporation, where it was considered to be non-core.
Realisation
Triton sold Tetra to Rayovac Corporation (now Spectrum Brands) in April 2005.
